Collaborating for Future-Ready Talent
Bridging the gap between theory and practice is crucial in preparing students for a fast-changing industrial landscape. That’s why PDM actively contributes to academic programs that align with the needs of today’s workplace.
Recently, our colleague Saïda Van Bommel joined fellow professionals on the advisory board of the Electromechanics program at Thomas More – Campus Geel. Together with faculty members and industry partners, the board reviewed the program’s SOAR analysis and final assessment framework to ensure it continues to deliver relevant, future-oriented education.

It was inspiring to be part of such a constructive session and to exchange insights with representatives from across the industry:
Paul Dickens (REM-B HYDRAULICS)
Gilbert Bergmans & Jef Leysen (SCK CEN)
Ward Vreys (ExxonMobil)
Francis Gheldof (Siemens)
Marc Corthout (Open Manufacturing Campus)
Geert Van Ham (KU Leuven – Faculty of Engineering)
At PDM, we believe in building strong, sustainable connections between education and industry. By contributing our expertise, we help develop educational programs that truly prepare students to become the technical experts of tomorrow.
Together, we create opportunities for growth. Inside and outside the classroom.
