As a Project Leader in Design & Manufacturing, you lead multidisciplinary complex projects in advanced machine building and product development. These assignments involve handling the design, procurement, assembly, testing, and delivery in operational production environments. The complexity and scale of the projects determine the number of assignments you manage.
You are actively involved in the sales phase, participating in client meetings, preparing proposals, and contributing to the development from proposal to assignment. You play a key role in ensuring the success of these projects within a team setting by delivering quality, added value, and impact. You prioritize the “People create Excellence” approach at the heart of your work.
From the sales phase, you may be involved in creating proposals for needs analysis or functional requirements, conducting a pre-study, or concept design, which will lead to quotations. The goal is for these initial studies to culminate in a definitive design plan, which may involve procurement/outsourcing, assembly, testing, and delivery. These steps are similar in a production environment but have their own dynamics.
Ensuring that the client receives high-quality, valuable, and impactful results involves achieving measurable and sustainable outcomes that strengthen and advance the client’s progress, ultimately contributing to their team’s success. In your role as Project Leader, you take an active approach in guiding the client, aiming to gain their support, meet their expectations, build relationships, and identify new project opportunities. Additionally, you anticipate and address future challenges, critical points, and obstacles to pave the way for further development..
Working with your team means taking active responsibility for the project and, while respecting the Technical Lead’s role, knowing exactly what the client will receive. You engage, inspire, and challenge your team members to ensure delivery “on time – in full,” thinking and acting entirely from the perspective of the results and added value created for the client. You actively involve the Account Manager and/or the Senior Project Leader to achieve optimal client engagement and intimacy.
